About me

Dr. Eli Solomon has been a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia since 2004 and he has served the Athens community for over twenty years.  Trained as a clinical psychologist, with a neuropsychology specialty, Dr. Solomon applies evidence-based assessment and treatment standards to assist with a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, generalized anxiety, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, disruptive behavior disorders, autism spectrum disorder, neurocognitive disorders, ADHD, and many other stress related conditions.  He has training and experience in the clinical treatment and evaluation of children, adolescents, and adults.

 

Dr. Solomon specializes in providing comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological, and educational testing. He enjoys the assessment process because it helps clients receive an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for their condition. Current areas of expertise and service include the clinical evaluation of learning disorders, memory problems, attention deficits, academic abilities, intellectual functioning, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and an array of psychiatric, emotionally based, conditions. Dr. Solomon works collaboratively with pediatricians, primary care physicians, neurologists, and families to ensure that clients receive the most beneficial care. He also works in concert with schools and colleges to assist patients with obtaining academic accommodations that meet College Board standards.

 

Since 2008, Dr. Solomon has served as Training Director of a successful Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program, focused on preparing future psychologists in testing and assessment. Case consultation and supervision services are available to students and practitioners.

 

Dr. Solomon holds membership in several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, Division 40 (Clinical Neuropsychology), the Georgia Psychological Association, and the Athens Area Psychological Association.
